The space between an object and the viewer is where all the action happens. This is where tension manifests itself while the acceptance, provocation, or rejection of an idea takes place. That relationship between the two parties – viewer and object - is what I am trying to explore and exploit with my work. With these works, the relationship between the paint and silkscreen unfolds in the white space and requires the living audience to infer their own relationships, bringing them into the action as both voyeur and participant.
